Women to Watch: Tracy
TRACY BYRNES, FINANCIAL ADVISOR
“If women truly want independence, they need financial independence,” says Tracy Byrnes, a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services.
Tracy, whose mission is to empower and encourage women to get more involved in their financial lives, left a 20-year career in financial media to do just that.
Prior to joining UBS, she spent almost 10 years as anchor/reporter for FOX News and FOX Business. She has been a columnist for TheStreet.com, wsj.com and the NY Post. She is the author of Break Down Your Money: How to Get Beyond the Noise and Profit in the Market. She holds an MBA in Accounting and is an adjunct professor at Fordham University.
Tracy was emboldened to help after listening to female friends of all professional levels talk flippantly, and almost unabashedly, about their lack of financial knowledge and their inability to find someone to talk to. So, she left journalism to become an advisor.
“Women need to feel comfortable talking about money and sometimes it’s just easier to do that with another woman.”
Tracy recently launched a podcast for female leaders. Listen here!
She can be reached at tracy.byrnes@ubs.com.
Thanks for joining me for another Wednesday celebrating “Women to Watch”! Cheers to independent, empowering women!
Fondly,
Yansi
